Friday January 13th saw the final handover of the building by the contractors, Carter Construction.

Despite a number of setbacks over the past few months, the building was completed to deadline, ready for this week’s BBC Stargazing Live events and the Official Opening on Tuesday evening. Although the Monday and Tuesday evenings are now fully booked, there are still places available at Wednesday’s Astrobiology lecture by Dr Lewis Dartnell. See the Events tab for details of how to book.

We also had the BBC cameras in school today – watch out for TLES being featured tomorrow (Tuesday 17th Jan) in the morning and lunchtime bulletins on regional news, and in East Midlands Today at 6.30pm.
