Long Eaton Astronomical Society News

Membership of the new society continues to grow and we have some exciting speakers lined up for later this year.

In October Dr Helen Walker from Rutherford Appleton Laboratory will be joining us to give a talk on seeing the invisible with infrared astronomy.

We also have Professor Michael Merrifield from the University of Nottingham joining us in December to talk about 21st Century Telescopes.

To find out more please visit our forthcoming events page. Long Eaton Astronomical Society events are open to the public, please email the observatory to book your places.

We will also be holding a special early morning event on June 6th for the transit of Venus, more information to follow soon.
