Long Eaton Astronomical Society Meeting June 26th

Our next meeting of 2014 is on June 26th and will start at the usual time of 6:30pm. We are looking forward to welcoming Steve Ibbotson of Astrosphere back to MPOLE for the follow on to his most enjoyable talk in November. This time around Steve will be taking us on a guided tour of the Summer night sky, telling us what to look for and where to find it.

As always, refreshments will be available from 6:15pm onwards. Members free and visitors are welcome for a donation towards refreshments etc of £2.00. Under 16’s are of course welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

If the weather allows we shall have a chance to observe our nearest star the Sun through our Hydrogen Alpha solar scope before the talk. Afterwards there will be chance for a chat with other members and Mike will field some of your questions on the “how to” of practical astronomy as the surgery was a success but time was limited, so this will now become a regular feature.
