Long Eaton Astronomical Society meeting February 25th.

Apologies for the late reminder.

This Thursday is the February meeting of the Long Eaton Astronomical Society. Guest speaker Steven Bamford, lecturer at Nottingham University School of Physics and Astronomy will be giving a talk on Galaxy Zoo. Galaxy Zoo is a citizen science project to help discover and classify different galaxies and one by definition we all have a chance to get involved with.

As usual the meeting will start at 6:30pm with refreshments available from 6:15pm. After the main talk there will be opportunity to do some observing if the weather is favorable or if not a short topical talk will be presented instead. Memberships continue to renew for this year at the same rate of £15 per year. If you do not wish to join we do ask for a suggested donation of £2 towards refreshments and other associated costs.
