Long Eaton Astronomical Society Meeting March 17th.

The next meeting of the astronomical society will be on March 17th at the new time of 7:00pm. This months talk is by Mr M. Perkins of TLES and is entitled “Colours of the Universe”. We shall look at how different celestial objects are different colours, what those colours mean and what they can tell us about the object. We will also look at why an absence of light can often reveal just as much if not more information.

Refreshments will be available from 6:30pm. As always all are welcome, under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult. Members free, non-members are welcome with a suggested donation of £2 towards costs. Memberships are now due for 2016 at the same rate as 2015 of £15 for the year, forms available on the night. If weather allows there will be chance for some observing after the talk or else a short guide to the night sky and topical news.
